A harsh translation of a french term for twilight, Entre Chein et le Loup, is a map; le cartre de crepuscule.

It had originally been my intent to tell a pure sound story. One free of crude textual reference. The attempt to follow an organic mode of creation was partially succesfull. As it stood, sections popped up, the sound source and my relationship to it drew forth form, but textual reference followed. This is a journey tale.

The deus ex machina for this piece, and the source of the samples is a bright red mountain bike.
"Dog" was written and produced at the EMS of The University of Birmingham, UK (BEAST).
This piece made its US premier at Birmingham Southern College, its Canadian at Concordia University; both in Fall 1997. The European premier was in Berlin, 1 September 2000 at the Akadame der Kunst through the auspices of the International Computer Music association
