Cultural Studies Discussion Group project :In connection with a Bakhtin reading group, we were thinking that it would be a good idea to have some shared space to enable people to work together on something. Such a space would include moo quota, available to construct artifacts that would contribute to that sort of effort.
Does that sound like a good idea?
Odd as is sounds, there seem to be a few bumps on the trail to creating shared artifacts, most of the verbs are still there, yet the unifying principles seem to have crumbled.
Hope no one minds the creation of a cultural discussion, this context for discursivity will provide a means to enuciate a nuclei of virtual autopoiesis . . .
We are interested in hearing ideas (aside from those on what times are convenient) about what sort of format would be the most efficient. Perhaps, taking a cue from FortDa's SPACING group, we could have someone responsible for synopsizing the event (instead of making those long, disk-hogging transcripts which everyone finds very difficult to wade through), and a rotating someone to sort of lead discussion, keep things in line each week (or however often we decide to meet).
